IE6 (or Internet Explorer 6.0) uninstalled when Windows upgrade IE6 to IE7 (or Internet Explorer 7.0). What if you want to use IE6 instead IE7 to testing websites? This is problem for web designer, who want his/her design works on all platform.

I searched IE6 with Google, Microsoft provides VPC, a virtual machine. You’ll get pre-activated Windows XP SP2, IE6 and the IE7 Readiness Toolkit. You must logged on to Microsoft Connect to download VPC. Why don’t Microsoft give the download link?. I don’t want to install VPC, because i don’t use IE6 often.
There is a software from Tredosoft, Multiple IE. Many people like the software, but there is a catch, don’t install Safari for Windows with Multiple IE, it will crack the sytem.

Then i found Browser Archive from evolt.org. They provide standalone IE’s, IE3 to IE6. Download standalone IE6 from evolt.org, unzipped file, open it and run IEXPLORE.EXE. Good thing about standalone IE from evolt.org, you don’t need to install, it won’t break your current system
