Buzzword Review

What is Buzzword? It’s a web-based (built on Flash) Word Processor. Adobe acquired Buzzword, and plans to leveraging the Adobe AIR runtime and integrating the application with Adobe’s existing online document collaboration services in the future.

Documents are not stored on our local machine, but rather on Buzzword secure servers. This means that we can access our documents from any web connection, and no longer need to email files to ourself or carry them on USB keys in order to have access anywhere.

Buzzword can import documents from Microsoft Word (.doc or Word 2003 XML) and Rich Text Format (.rtf) files. Buzzword can export files to Microsoft Word (.doc or Word 2003 XML) or RTF files.

We can share our documents, invite people by email to co-author, review or read our document

Buzzword support history feature, we can find previous versions of our current document.
Buzzword runs on any computer with Flash Player 9 that is running IE 6 or 7, Safari 2, Safari 3 (Macintosh only), or Firefox.

Buzzword is in limited preview. You can sign up, but you must wait for days to get in.
Buzzword need latest flash version, so you need to install the latest flash plugin. For first time use, it takes time to load any components (framework, styles, organizer) to our browser.
Buzzword GUI is simple, easy to use and learn.

Typing in Buzzword is fast, support font and paragraphs, lists, images, tables, comments. Buzzword have spell checker (english), and good font color pallete. Buzzword have different names for the font, such as Minion Pro to Times New Roman, Myriad Pro to Arial

Truemors has news on free 411 service from Google. There is no information from Google in their blog about this service. It’s Hot! and Free!. You can see how it works from the video in GOOG-411 site.

Tweetr Review

Adobe AIR software that allows peoples using twitter to send and receive message. It allows 140 character or less.

Features :
Automatic url shortening, 3D transitions, new version notifications and font size settings for complicated Asian languages, send files via tweetr, Save webcam photos instantly online to Tw3t.com,long URL’s are automatically shortened via urltea.com, delete your own messages

Installation :
Visit the website, click install and go. First, detect whether ADOBE AIR has been installed in your computer. It takes time to download files from tweetr web site. After download finished, show an installer window, ask you where to put Tweetr files, and done

Usage
Easy, type username and password, push login button.
Fun, type message and enter.
Delete message works here (i can’t delete my messages from twitter website)
Great layout and graphics.

It is fun but has lack in navigational and not many people use this.

Conclusion :

It’s easy and fun using Tweetr, the features also great. Great alternative to mini blogging from desktop. My only complaint using tweetr, they need to limit messages view in the software, if there are more than x messages, a lot easier if there is navigation help (next-previous or 123).
