Please note there are a number of typos on the config above.
So far I spotted these (but there could be more):

header_acccess Date allow all
header_access Accept-Enncoding allow all
header_access Set_Cookie allow all

These should be, respectively:

header_access Date allow all
header_access Accept-Encoding allow all
header_access Set-Cookie allow all

Apart from this, great post. Very useful indeed!

This High Anonymous Proxy tested at FreeBSD and CentOS/RHEL. I never try MAC, so I can't help you with SQUIDMAN 2.0.

You can try to contact Squidman programmer at adg at mac dot com. His name is Tony Gray. Squidman website address : http://homepage.mac.com/adg/SquidMan/index.html

Hi and thanks for your help!!! I have SQUIDMAN 2.0 (SQUID 2.6 STABLE 16) installed and running in a Personal Proxy mode only. I want to change it to an HIGH ANONYMOUS PROXY, as stated on this site. I am almost brand new to Apple and the Intel MacBook Pro OS X. I'm running 10.5.1 Leopard. 2.4 GHz, 4 GB. I see what needs to be added but I have been unable to figure out where and how to program or add the info. Would someone be sooooo kind as to give me a detailed, step by step method on how to do this, to make SQUID, an high anonymous proxy...PLEASE & THANK YOU Sooooo VERY MUCH!!! :-) I want to become as good at MAC as I was with the PC, for 15 years. I transfered over in July, 2007.
